Songfacts®:

  • All proceeds from this anti-pollution protest tune went towards an Icelandic environmental grass-roots movement. The song shares its name with a website, which was a gathering place for the movement.
  • This features backing vocals from Radiohead's Thom Yorke. There was some confusion because, according to Radiohead's management, Yorke hadn't recorded anything new with Björk since they sang together on "I've Seen It All" from the soundtrack of the 2000 film Dancer in the Dark. However, according to Björk's publicist, their collaboration was done via file-sharing while the Icelandic singer was on her summer tour.
  • This was Björk's first solo single that she sang entirely in her native language, Icelandic.
