Songfacts®:

  • The second single from Country music artist Craig Campbell's self-titled debut album was co-written by the singer with West Virginian songwriter Arlos Smith (Rascal Flatt's "Mayberry") and Ashe Underwood (Trent Tomlinson's "Just Might Have Her Radio On"). It was released to Country radio on June 6, 2011.
  • Campbell explained the song's meaning to The Boot: "It's about a guy wanting to impress a girl, and in his mind the best way is to take her fishing," he said. "There is a double entendre kind of thing ... it's poetry, and it doesn't have to rhyme. You think we're gonna say something else, but we don't."
  • The girl who plays Campbell's love interest in the video is cable TV presenter Mariko Izumi, who has a show on the World Fishing Network called Hooking Up With Mariko Izumi. She hooked up with Campbell after his father-in-law, who is a big fisherman and watches her show, suggested her for the clip.
