  • During Danielle Bradbery's support show on the Birmingham, Alabama leg of Miranda Lambert's Certified Platinum Tour, she surprised fans with the introduction of new music. This was one of the songs that the Texas native premiered. "That one I wrote in LA and we kind of just brainstormed and just talked about life," Bradbery told Sounds Like Nashville. "What the song really is about is not a Mom, and that is what a lot of people are assuming. And I figured they would."

"But it's really about life and opportunities and the negative people have around them all in one," she continued. "We decided to call it 'Mama Was A Liar' and kind of step way out of the box. If people have an open mind then they'll know what it means. It's a really deep and really cool song so I'm excited for everybody to hear it."
