Songfacts®:

  • In 2012, Dave's older brother Christopher was sent to prison for 18 years. He was convicted of being involved in the killing of 15-year-old schoolboy Sofyen Belamouadden at Victoria Station in 2010. This song starts with a recording of Christopher calling on the phone from prison and it plays out as a conversation between the pair.
  • "Drama" is the closing track of Psychodrama, a concept album that follows the narrative of a therapy session, detailing Dave's struggles with mental health and depression. Christopher was receiving therapy in jail; the concept of psychodrama actually came from the type of treatment that Dave's brother was getting.
