  • Taylor Swift, who makes an appearance in the movie, wrote this song with Martin Johnson, who is lead singer of Boys Like Girls. This led to another collaboration for the singers, as Swift contributed to the Boys Like Girls song "Two Is Better Than One."

At the time, Swift was a rising star, 19 years old with two albums out. She had hits under her belt with songs like "Teardrops on My Guitar" and "Love Story." Like Miley Cyrus, she is rooted in country music but with vast popular appeal. Unlike Cyrus, Swift is a dedicated songwriter and would sometimes write for other artists around this time. In 2009, in addition to "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home," she also wrote a hit for Kellie Pickler called "Best Days Of Your Life."
  • Hannah Montana: The Movie was released in 2009 during the show's third season. The franchise was red-hot, and like the first two soundtrack albums to the show, the movie soundtrack went to #1 in America. In the show (and movie), Hannah Montana is the stage name used by Miley Stewart, a seemingly normal kid who is really a pop star. (It's a Clark Kent / Superman situation where even though they look exactly alike, only a few people figure out they're the same person.) Disney struck gold by casting Miley Cyrus in the role. She rose to the occasion in the demanding role, which required her to be a recording artist as well as an actress. When the show ended in 2011, Cyrus quickly shed her Disney image and established herself as a bona fide star on her own, earning many fan who never knew she was Hannah Montana.
