Songfacts®:

  • After several years behind the scenes penning songs for the likes of Keri Hilson, ("Knock You Down'"), Rick Ross ("Speedin'"), Akon ("One") and T-Pain ("Cash Flow"), R&B songwriter Kevin Cossom signed a deal through Grammy-winning producer Nate "Danja" Hill's label, NARS (New Age Rock Stars) to record his debut album. This is the first single to be released from the record.
  • Cossom told MTV News the inspiration for his single was straightforward. "I wish I had a big grand story to explain it, but it's basically things that go on at a party," he explained. "It's really about 'boy meets girl.' We're all out having a good time, and you see something you like," Cossom continued. "Pretty girls in the club. That's what it's about. And with the video, we're trying to capture the energy of the track. And with the song, we were trying to capture the energy of the party."
  • Cossom opened up his large book of A-lister contacts and recruited both Diddy and Fabolous to feature on the song.
