Songfacts®:

  • Kid Rock opens his ninth studio album, Rebel Soul, with this Southern-flavored boogie-shuffle. It is one of six tracks to feature guitar work by L.A. axeman Blake Mills, who flew in to record his parts in a single Sunday evening. "He was fast and right on point. Every idea he came up with was a great one," longtime Rock studio cohort Al Sutton told Detroit Free Press.

Mills is a former member of rock outfit Simon Dawes, who evolved into roots band Dawes after his departure.
