Songfacts®:

  • Lil Wayne talks during this track about an incident when he was 12-years-old in which he accidentally shot himself in the chest, barely missing his heart.

I remember goin' in your gun drawer
Puttin' it to my chest and missin' my heart by centimetres
    Oh Lord
I remember dyin' on her room floor
And wakin' up in some police's arms

Three years later, Weezy revealed on the Tha Carter V track "Let It All Work Out" that the shooting was in fact a suicide attempt after his mom told him he couldn't rap anymore.
  • The song title alludes to London in two different ways:

    1) Lil Wayne loves the English city of London and often spend a lot of time writing songs there. Weezy's love is reciprocated in London's many "trap houses" where there's regular drug use, often accompanied by the New Orleans rapper's music.

    2) The beat was supplied by Atlanta producer London on da Track, who has also worked with the likes of Drake, Gucci Mane and Young Thug.
