Songfacts®:

  • The title track of Little Mix's second album is a rumbling R&B number with a military theme that is all about empowering women. "I think we all absolutely love 'Salute,'" Leigh-Anne told MTV News. "We all wanted to write a song — a real proper, empowering girl-power song for such a long time, and for this album we got it. We just love performing it and it kind of, it just sums us up."
  • Little Mix wrote the song with Maegan Cottone ("Move"). It was produced by TMS ("Wings," "DNA"). Perrie from the band explained: "It's about the force of women and being united and strong."

  • Peyton Crespo from Nj, Little FerryThis is a wonderful song I love how it shows how tough woman can be and they can participate in men activities if they choose to. This is a great song. Congratulations, Little Mix. I love all Little Mix songs.
