Songfacts®:

  • Written by Carlos Santana, "Everything's Coming Our Way" is a very joyful song from the group's third album. Most of the lyric is repetition of the title, but Carlos slips in a bit about inclusivity:

I can feel it in my bones
    No man stands alone
    Sister, brother
    From all the same seed
  • This is a rare Santana song in which Carlos Santana performs the lead vocals. Gregg Rolie usually did the singing in each of Santana's first three albums. >>

  • This song appears on Santana's third album, Santana III, released in 1971. They were still riding a wave from their Woodstock performance in 1969, and the album rose to #1 in America. Their lineup started shifting for their next album, though, and the group faded until 1999, which they mounted a stunning comeback with the Supernatural album.
