Songfacts®:

  • Released on January 1, 2017 by G.O.O.D. Music, this song features the label's founder Kanye West. It carries on Yeezy's tradition of dropping a new song on New Year's Day, which he has done every year since 2014.
  • Both rappers spit rhymes about the ladies in their lives, who also happen to be half sisters. While Tyga raps about giving his girlfriend Kylie Jenner a 200,000 black Mercedes Maybach for her birthday, Kanye name-drops his wife, Kim Kardashian West.
  • The track was inspired by an everyday conversation that Tyga had with Yeezy. He recalled to XXL:

"The song 'Feel Me' came about – we had a conversation and…we was talking about lingo, you know, just talking about everyday, regular stuff, and Kanye had said a couple of lines, and I was like, 'Yeah, we just need to do songs about cars, the club,' you know what I mean? We was like making a joke, and he was like, 'Yeah.' I was like, 'You feel me?' and he was like, 'Yeah, that's the hook. 'Feel me.' That's the hook.'"

"I didn't really thinking nothing of it, but from our conversation, I went to the studio the next day and then we came up with 'Feel Me.' Then I took it to his house and then he recorded his verse the same day he heard it."
