Songfacts®:

  • Initially a track from will.i.am's Songs About Girls album, the UK release of the single was a remixed version featuring guest backing vocals from Cheryl Cole. The Girls Aloud singer also appears in the music video as a street dancer.
  • This is a song about men treating their partners like dirt and cheating on them. When Cheryl Cole recorded her backing vocals she found the experience cathartic as at the time she was reeling from allegations that her footballer husband had been 'playing away from home' with another woman.
  • Cole recalled to Q magazine February 2010 that before she got involved on the re-mix she saw will.i.am being interviewed on MTV. "They said, is there anyone in the UK you'd like to collaborate with?" she continued. "He said, U2 and Cheryl Cole. I was choking in my tea, laughing."
