Songfacts®:

  • This song finds Aitch describing his life as a young Casanova

I tell the truth, I'm just in love with different women
Never go on dates, I'm sorry, I'm not really in it
    I'm just livin'
  • Aitch is joined by South London vocalist ZieZie, who describes on the hook having oral sex with a promiscuous woman.

Buss down, yeah she get the buss down
    10/10, man I hit a touchdown

An early use of the phrase "Buss Down" was by Wiz Khalifa on his 2007 Prince of the City 2 mixtape. He described on "Buss Down" a female who has sex not just with him, but also the rest of his Taylor Gang.
  • The song's beat was supplied by the production duo Mojam (Mustafa Omer & James Murray). They are known for their work with Emeli Sandé ("Next To Me"), Professor Green ("Remedy") and Naughty Boy ("La La La").
  • The song came about when Aitch was in the studio with Mojam and they were showing him different beats. After choosing the instrumentation for "Buss Down," Aitch's manager got hold of ZieZie and the Londoner jumped on the tune straight away. The Manchester rapper recalled to Apple Music:

"He came in the booth, started messing about, making melodies, and did a hook and a verse before I'd even written my first verse. It came about naturally and ended up being one of the sickest ones on the EP."

  • Shelley from Australia This song samples a song called Raat Ka Nasha. This sample is also at the beginning of a song by Dot Mob called Voices release in 2016
  • Robert Gilfnugget from KilmarnockThis song came on the radio when I was taking my wains to judo practice. Absolutely appaling lyrics. Now my 8 year-old daughter is wanting to go out in stockings and suspenders, she does look tasty, right enough.
